Pop up Pollinator’

Sustrans Treasure Hunt

Paul Wood will be leading a walk to trailblaze a possible new route along the Avon Gorge Meeting point: Top of New Zig-Zag path – the grassy area on the Downs side of the top of Bridge Valley Road. Ambling Band and Monkey Puppets

Ambling Band and Monkey Puppets will lead a ‘bandstand-inspired structure’, of recycled materials, to the Clifton Rocks Railway where the final construction will take place. Then an acoustic band will perform until 3pm. Celebrate Bristols 800 birthday – in advance, and hear the Bristol Fanfare reverberating around the Avon Gorge. David Mitcham’s ‘At the Top of the Tide’ was the winning piece in a competition organised by the Bristol Proms to commission a piece to Celebrate Bristol’s 800th Anniversary in 2016. With the composer’s blessing, Portway Sunday Park’s own trumpeters will be playing the piece at 2.00 and at 2.30 on Portway under the Suspension Bridge.
