Start Millennium Sq, outside @Bristol, 1.30pm cycling along cycleways to a peaceful traffic free Portway (closed to traffic 1-6pm) on to Bennets Patch Nature Reserve and then return to City Hall by 3pm. Long-boarding down Bridge Valley Road

Walk the Gorge

The Gorge will be free of traffic all day from dawn to 6.00pm. Before 2.00pm the participants and organisers of the half marathon will be in charge of the highway – so make sure that you follow their instructions. Once they have cleared the highway, at about 2.00pm, Portway will be yours to enjoy. There are several tracks to discover between Portway and the Downs. As the last balls are rolling down Bridge Valley Road, at  3.00 pm , the Avanti Quartet will be playing music in a space that usually vibrates with traffic noise.
