Reseeding in the Avon Gorge

September 25, 2016 @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

| Free
The Friends of the Downs and Avon Gorge [FOD+AG] in keeping with its ambition to promote wildlife conservation in the Gorge will be attempting to increase biodiversity in a meadow just off the Portway between Great Quarry and Black Rock Quarry.
As part of the Peaceful Portway event we welcome visitors to help us with the reseeding of the meadow. The meadow has in the past been managed as amenity grassland but this year it was left to grow until it was able to be cut as a hay crop.
Why not pop along to the FOD+AG gazebo during your walk or ride through the Gorge, scatter some wild flower seeds and learn more about this project and many more.
Take a five minute stroll into the Gully and see if you can spot our small herd of feral goats
